Itinerary Inca Jungle biking to Machu Picchu
Day 1: Cusco – Racca – Soqma Waterfalls – Korimarca
The adventure begins early with a transfer from Cusco to the picturesque village of Racca, the starting point of the trek. Throughout the day, you’ll visit incredible sites such as Ñaupa Iglesia (2,967 m), a mystical Inca temple; the community of Soqma; and the stunning Perolniyoc waterfalls. Later, you'll explore the fascinating Inca site of Rayanpata before reaching the campsite in Korimarca (3,611 m), where a comforting dinner under the stars will conclude the first day of the expedition.
Day 2: Korimarca – Inti Punku – Choquetacarpo
There’s nothing like waking up with a cup of coffee or coca tea as the first rays of sunlight illuminate the mountains. After breakfast, the ascent begins, taking approximately four hours to reach Charkahuaylla Pass (4,450 m), where breathtaking panoramic views of the Andean landscape await. After lunch, the trail leads to the spectacular Inti Punku (Sun Gate), an Inca site strategically located with majestic views of the snow-capped peaks. The day ends at the Choquetacarpo campsite (3,600 m).
Day 3: Choquetacarpo – Inca Quarry – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
After a delicious breakfast, the trail descends to the Cachicata Inca Quarry, one of the largest and most enigmatic of the Inca era, where massive stone blocks can still be seen in the carving process. For lunch, enjoy a traditional Pachamanca, a classic Andean feast cooked underground. In the afternoon, the trek continues to Ollantaytambo, where you'll board a scenic train to Aguas Calientes. You'll spend the night in a comfortable hotel, preparing for the big day at Machu Picchu.
Day 4: Machu Picchu – Return to Cusco
The final day marks the highlight of the expedition. An early departure ensures you'll catch one of the first buses to Machu Picchu, where a guided tour will unveil the secrets of its temples, palaces, and sacred enclosures. After the visit, the scenic train will take you back to Ollantaytambo, where our private transport will be waiting to take you back to Cusco.
