Get to know the most famous walk of South America, in a moderate trail from Piscacucho (Km 82) to the highest point that is the passage called Warmiwañusca at 4200 msnm and descending through the valley of Pacaymayo while we appreciate interesting and incredible archaeological sites, amazing landscapes of cloud forests, rivers and huge mountains heading to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, entering through the Intipunku with privileged views.
Our tourist transport will take us from Cusco to Km 82 (Piscacucho), where the trek will start, after 6 hours of hiking enjoying natural views of typical villages and archaeological sites up unitl Huayllabamba where we will camp.
This will be the day that requires more effort as we ascend to the Warmihuañusca pass, located at 4220 masl, always with fascinating views of the surrounding landscape, snowy mountains, dense forests, and the comforting descent to the valley of Pacaymayu or Runuracay.
This exciting day we will see the best of the Inca Trail, cloud forests, Inca tunnels, impressive Inca constructions like Runcuracay, Sayacmarca, Conchamarca and Huiñayhuayna and we’ll enjoy our last camp.
We leave the camp very early to Intipunku or Sun Gate from where we will get magnificent views of the citadel of Machu Picchu and afterwards we’ll make our guided visit to this famous archaeological site. In the afternoon we will return to Cusco.
