Lima is a city located on the central Pacific coast of Peru. It is the capital city and has a population of more than 8 million inhabitants, which makes it the most populated city in the country.
It was founded in 1535 by the spanish with the name of "City of Kings", during the Spanish regime was the most important city in South America.
Today this city is considered as the financial, commercial, political and cultural center of Peru. Its historical center was declared Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity by the UNESCO due to the beauty of its colonial style constructions like the Cathedral, the convent of Santo Domingo, and the Convent of San Francisco.
