In the northeastern part of the country lies the province of Chachapoyas in the department of Amazonas, it is a place that offers beautiful landscapes, culture and much history about the ancient civilizations that were developed there.
Chachapoyas is a city that had enough Hispanic influence so that we can observe large houses, gardens, and balconies.
In 1538 due to its strategic location, the Spanish captain Alonso de Alvarado turned it into the capital of eastern Peru.
The height in this place is 2335msnm and its climate is quite hot.
In the department of Chachapoyas we can find places of tourist attraction such as the Fortress of Kuelap that was built by the culture of the Chachapoyas in the year 1100 to 1450 AD and possibly was an administrative site.
There is also Karajia, Revash mausoleums and much more.
The pre-Inca fortress of Kuelap was built high in the mountainous jungle of Chachapoyas and is composed by two huge platforms that at first glance seem to be a giant wall. In this important visit, we will learn about the history of this magnificent place, while enjoying amazing landscapes.
In this amazing tour we will visit the Mausoleums of Revash which are like small houses dug in a rocky wall, known to be used to bury famous and prestigious of ancient cultures.
