Visit to Chavin de Huantar full day

We will beging our adventure by picking you up from your hotel between 07:00 and 07:30 am we will take our transportation at 08:00 am and it will take us from Huaraz to the south of the city. In the route we will pass through the city of Recuay where the pre-Inca culture of the same name was developed, we’ll continue with direction to the town of Catac located to the right side of the Santa river, characterized to be a cattle area; From there we will turn towards the famous Callejón de Conchucos and continue until arriving at the lagoon of Querococha located at 4200 msnm; This will be our first stop, where we can enjoy beautiful views of the huge mountains, the ichu and the lagoon itself.

Continuing with the adventure, we will ascend until crossing the tunnel of Cahuish, that is more than a kilometer long, and we will go to the Valley of Conchucos and after almost 3 hours of travel we will arrive at our final destination that is the archaeological complex of Chavin, One of the most beautiful and incredible complexes, consisting of an Old Temple, a new Temple, square plaza and the famous clavas that looked after the temple.

We will enjoy a delicious lunch and then we’ll visit the National Museum of Chavin. Finally we will start our back trip to Huaraz arriving around 6 o'clock in the afternoon.
