The pre-Inca fortress of Kuelap was built high atop the mountainous jungle of Chachapoyas and is composed of two massive platforms that, at first glance, appear to be a giant wall. During this important visit, we will uncover the history of this magnificent site while enjoying breathtaking landscapes.

We’ll start the tour picking you up from your hotel at 08:30 am, departruing from Chachapoyas to Kuelap, located in the department of Amazonas, a famous pre-Inca archaeological group, built in the middle of the jungle, at an approximate height of 3000 masl, and at a distance of approximately 2 hours from Chachapoyas. This fascinating place is formed by two elongated ramparts, three main entrances with trapezoidal form, passages, and enclosures.
Possibly lived more than 3000 people, and was built as a defense against some ethnic groups.
After this incredible experience, we will return to Chachapoyas around 17:00 hrs.
