Arriving in Layo, our trek begins. This moderate 1.5-hour hike winds through golden grasslands and rust-colored earth, accompanied by herds of grazing alpacas and llamas. With luck, you might spot the majestic Andean condor soaring overhead or glimpse a swift peregrine falcon in flight.

At 4,730 meters (15,518 ft), Pallay Punchu reveals its full glory. The mountain's incredible striations - vivid reds, ochres, greens, and yellows - create a visual masterpiece shaped by geological forces over eons. From natural viewpoints, take in panoramic vistas encompassing Langui Lagoon and the snow-capped Andean peaks beyond.

After capturing unforgettable photos and soaking in this natural wonder, we descend to Layo for a delicious countryside lunch (restaurant option available). Finally, we return to Cusco by approximately 5:00 PM, your heart full of memories that will last a lifetime.
