Day 2 : Humantay Lake
There are few places that dazzle with their beauty. One of these natural treasures is found in Cusco, and it is the tour to Humantay Lagoon. With turquoise waters and surrounded by imposing snow-capped mountains, this lagoon has become an important destination for thousands of tourists and hiking enthusiasts. Around 4:00 AM, we will be picked up by our transportation. Before starting the journey, our guide will provide a brief explanation about the route, and we will head northeast of the city of Cusco. Along the way, we will pass through different towns and villages until we reach Limatambo. From this point, we will ascend to Mollepata, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast made with local products. We will continue our journey to Soraypampa, during which our guide will provide information about the flora, fauna, and customs of this beautiful place. Soraypampa will be our starting point for the hike, and our guide will give the final details and technical information. The hike lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (this time may vary depending on each person's physical condition). When we arrive at the beautiful Humantay Lagoon, we will appreciate the stunning scenery and the imposing view of the Humantay and Salkantay snow-capped mountains. Our guide will explain about this fantastic place, and we will have free time to take the best photographs. After a brief rest, we will return by the same route to the starting point of the hike, where we will board our transportation to the restaurant to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch made with local products. We will return to the city of Cusco.
Day 3 : Cusco Planetarium
We will meet in the Plaza del Regocijo at 5:30 PM, from where we will begin an unparalleled cosmic experience. We will head to the Llaullipata ecological reserve, a natural setting near the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuamán. In the planetarium's rooms, our expert guide in star observation will give us an enriching talk about Quechua astronomy, exploring the close connection between the Andean people and the universe. Then, we will move to the dome, a magical space where the sky is projected virtually, revealing the Quechua constellations. These, so different and unique, offer us a vision that is unknown to most. Finally, the telescopic observation will be the concluding point of our excursion, an activity subject to weather conditions. If the sky clears, we will marvel at the Quechua constellations and other celestial secrets that normally escape our perception. At the end of this journey through the cosmos, we will return to the center of Cusco. It will be an experience that connects us with the ancestral worldview and the grandeur and mysterious beauty of the universe.
