Manu 4 days / 3 nights

This second day of excursion we will start very early to see the “Gallito de las rocas”, bird that has a singular and striking plumage where the red and orange colors stand out. This day we will head to the town of Pilcopata and then head for the port of Atalaya (in the village of Pilcopata we will have the option of practicing canoeing for approximately an hour and a half on the Koñeq River and Madre de Dios). From the port of Atalaya we will begin our walk until Erika Reserve and Lodge, is in this place where we will spend the night.

In addition we will be able to observe insects and amphibians in a nocturnal route organized with the group.

We will start this day with a delicious breakfast, then start with our route for which we will cross the other side of the river in our boats. Our guide will show you and explain the great variety of flora (aromatic, medicinal and fruit plants) and wildlife where the “oso de anteojos” and the “gallito de las rocas” stand out. Our tour will take us to the lagoon of Machuwasi where we will have the opportunity to paddle in our canoes to enjoy the beauty that the Peruvian jungle offers us.

In the reserve of Erika, we will have as an optional activity to enjoy and participate in the canopy circuit adapted in this hostel.

We will start this day with a visit to a "clay wall" (clay wall located on the banks of the rivers), in this place we will be able to see hundreds of parrots and macaws that come to lick and devour the clay that contains the minerals necessary for their diet . Without a doubt this would be a show of color and sound that we can not miss.

After our visit, it will be time to leave the Peruvian jungle and board our boat back to the port of Atalaya and finally take the return bus to the city of Cusco.
