Colca Canyon tour
Experience an unforgettable adventure with our Full-Day Colca Canyon Tour. Starting from Arequipa, you'll travel to the picturesque town of Chivay, where you'll enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. This is the ideal spot to admire the grandeur of Colca Canyon and, with some luck, the impressive flight of the Andean condors.
On the return journey, we'll stop at various viewpoints to take in the stunning terracing of the valley. We will also visit the charming village of Maca, where you can explore its historic church and, if you wish, sample local beverages like the Colca Sour made from regional ingredients.
Before lunch, enjoy a relaxing soak in the area's hot springs, known for their thermal medicinal properties, with temperatures ranging from 35ºC to 38ºC. After lunch in Chivay, we will begin our return to Arequipa.
On the way back, we’ll stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point of our route, where you can admire the impressive Western Cordillera. We will continue through the Toccra wetlands, where you might see alpacas grazing freely, and around the snow-capped Chachani towards the Cañahuas plains. We will pass through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to freely roaming vicuñas.
We will end the tour near the Plaza de Armas in Arequipa, giving you the chance to continue exploring this beautiful city.
