17:45 hrs – Meeting Point and Pick-up
Our tourist transportation unit will be waiting for you at Plaza Regocijo, in the city's historic center. From this point, we will begin a short drive to the Planetarium facilities, located in a strategic area protected from the city's light pollution.
17:55 hrs – Arrival at Planetarium Cusco
Upon arrival, you will immerse yourself directly into the magical and natural atmosphere of the location. The fresh air of the Andean night and the natural surroundings will prepare you for an evening full of celestial discoveries.
18:00 hrs – Talk on Inca Cosmovision and Astronomy
Begin your experience in our interpretation rooms. Through an educational and interactive talk, our specialist guides will introduce you to the fascinating connection between Inca astronomy and the rich Andean culture. You will discover how they identified "dark constellations" (such as the Celestial Llama or the Condor) and the importance of the Mayu (the Milky Way) in their daily lives.
18:30 hrs – Virtual Projection of the Southern Sky in the Dome
We will move to the southern sky simulation dome. Here, you will enjoy an immersive 360-degree virtual projection that reveals the Inca constellations, their movements, and the ancestral stories that gave meaning to Andean mythology, regardless of external weather conditions.
19:15 hrs – Astronomical Observation with Professional Telescopes (Activity subject to nightly weather conditions)
We will proceed to the outdoor observation area. We will immerse ourselves in the direct contemplation of the firmament through our powerful telescopes. Depending on the season, you will be able to spot high-magnitude stars, planets of the solar system, open clusters, and mysterious nebulae.
19:40 hrs – Return to the City Center
Concluding this unique astronomical experience, we will take you back to the center of Cusco, allowing you to reflect on the immensity of the universe while you comfortably return to your hotel or enjoy the Cusco nightlife.

What happens if it is cloudy or raining?
The weather in the Andes is variable (especially during the rainy season from November to April). The advantage of our tour is that it is designed to be enjoyed no matter what. If the sky is overcast, the cultural talk in the interpretation rooms and the spectacular 360° virtual projection inside the dome take place as usual, guaranteeing that you will learn about and experience the magic of Inca astronomy. Observation with telescopes is the only activity subject to weather conditions.
Does the tour include a return transfer to my hotel?
The tour includes return transportation to the historic center of Cusco (drop-off near Plaza Regocijo or Plaza de Armas). Due to Cusco's narrow and pedestrian-only streets, it is not always possible to drop each passenger off at the exact door of their accommodation, but we will get you as close as possible for your safety and comfort.
Is the tour suitable for children and older adults?
Absolutely! It is a highly educational, dynamic, and cultural activity. It does not require strenuous walking or physical effort, making it ideal for children (who thoroughly enjoy the dome projection) and older adults looking for a peaceful nighttime activity in Cusco.
How far in advance should I book the astronomical tour?
We operate with small groups and limited spaces per night so that each visitor can use the telescopes comfortably and receive personalized attention. Therefore, we recommend booking at least 48 to 72 hours in advance, especially if you are traveling during the high season (from May to October).
Are photos allowed during the dome projection?
To maintain the darkness required for your eyes to adjust to the stars and to respect the experience of other visitors, the use of flash or bright screens is not permitted inside the dome. However, you are welcome to take as many photos as you like in the interpretation rooms and the outdoor telescope area.
