Visit the Temple of Fertility, Molloco Archaeological Complex, Andean Waru Warus, and Aramu Muro: An immersion into the history and culture of the Aymara corridor of Puno. We will conclude in Juli, the Rome of America, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch with local products.
1.Temple of Fertility - Inca Uyo: We will explore Inca Uyo, also known as the Temple of Fertility, due to the phalixas sculptures found in the enclosure. Two of these are erected at the entrance, while about eighty others are distributed throughout the complex.
2. Molloco Archaeological Complex: We will visit Molloco, a pre-Inca settlement of the Lupaca culture, where the fusion of the Inca and Lupaca cultures is evident.
3. Andean Waru Warus: We will learn about the Waru Waru, ancestral practices common in the highlands. These consist of forming platforms or “beds” surrounded by water for planting, creating a microclimate that mitigates the effects of frost and allows the development of crops.
4. Portal of Aramu Muro: We will visit the mystical portal of Aramu Muru, also called “Hayu Marca” or “Willka Uta”. This altar carved in a single piece of rock of more than 5 meters is surrounded by a particular landscape and is a reference point for many mystical visitors.
