We will start the tour picking you up from the airport or from your hotel in Iquitos, depending on the time of your arrival we can do a walking city tour, then we will go to the port to board a boat, which will take us along the Amazon River 35 kilometers.
From November to July, we can visit the floating houses, and from July to November we will visit the Amazonian beaches, along the way we will also be able to see small villages with wooden houses located on the edge of this important river.
After arriving at the eco lodge, we will enjoy a traditional drink of the area, and our cabins will be assigned; We will enjoy a delicious lunch made with typical ingredients of the forest, then we will make a trek through the forest seeing different species of plants and animals; And we will also have the option to enjoy the fantastic sunset on the Amazon River. In the evening we will hike to get to see some insects and nocturnal batracios, we will return to the lodge for dinner and rest.
Very early we will start with a walk in which we will observe various birds some of the swimming in a lagoon or flying around, including the Shansho-Hoatzin, a tropical bird. We return to the lodge to have a rich breakfast and when finish, we will go to the native community of Yagua, they will show us their way of life based on agriculture and hunting, they will even give us a demonstration of the old method of hunting with blowgun, they will show us the elaboration of their crafts and finally we will return to our lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon we will make an excursion on the Amazon River, to visit a river family, they preserve some species of animals including turtles, sloths and anacondas; We will also be looking for pink dolphins.
In the evening we will do a canoe trip to see insects and nocturnal birds; And delighting us with the sound of cicadas and other animals. We will have dinner and rest.
We will start observing the fascinating dawn on the banks of the river, we will travel to Padre Island by canoe to observe other species of birds, we will have breakfast in the lodge and soon will start a new ride along the Amazon river in order to observe the enormous fish of sweet water called Arapaima Gigas "Paiche". We will make a small walk through a small town where we will know the daily life of its people.
We will return to the lodge for lunch, and later we will take a canoe trip through a secondary river, with perfect landscapes to take pictures. We will return to the lodge for dinner and rest.
This last day, after breakfast, we will observe the largest aquatic Lilac in the world, called Amazonian Victoria, characterized by its huge circular leaves that float on the water. Later we will make a recreational fishing excursion, we will be able to fish species like: sardines, catfish, piranhas, among others. Finally we will have lunch and it will be time to return to the city, we will arrive in Iquitos around 2pm in the afternoon.
