02:30 am: We will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa and depart to Chivay, the city that is the point of entry to the Colca Canyon.
06:30 am: Upon our arrival in the city of Chivay, we will stop for breakfast before continuing to Mirador Cruz del Cóndor. On the way we will stop in the village of Yanque, where we will visit its colonial church.
09:00 am: We will arrive at the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, where we will see the endangered condors, while they fly around searching for food. These are the largest flying birds in the world.
10:00 a.m. During the return trip to Chivay, we will make several stops in different natural viewpoints. In the viewpoint of Choquetico, where we will see the remains of the tombs built by the Collaguas culture around 1200 AD. And located on the opposite side of the canyon, we will see Choquetico pre-Inca stones, which have carved the terrain maps on one side and on the other, carved from the platforms.
We will also stop in the town of Pinchollo, and the viewpoints of Lito and Antahuilque in order to admire the depth of the canyon and some of the lakes in the area.
11:00 am: We will have the opportunity to visit the thermal baths of La Calera. (Entrance is not included in this excursion),
Back to Chivay, we will have time for lunch (not included), before we have to leave for our trip back to the city of Arequipa, where we will arrive around 5:30 in the afternoon.
