The city of Huaraz
Huaraz has a very varied geography, its climate is temperate, sunny in the day and cold at night. It has two marked seasons, the one of drought and the one of rains.
Historically it is known that in Huaraz in pre-Inca times villages were developed near the Quilca and Santa rivers. There also was developed the Chavin culture from which we have evidence. In the colony was a colonial town part of the Intendance of Tarma.
Currently, its main activities are agriculture, trade and tourism.
