Description

The Sacred Valley of the Incas was undoubtedly a key area of settlement to the Incas. Its agreeable climate and fertile plains make a rare and fruitful combination for the high Andes. It was also the route to the jungle and therefore an area with access to the fruits and plants of the tropical lowlands.

Itinerary

Leaving in the morning for Pisac, located in the sacred valley of the Incas about 1 hour from Cusco, we will do a tour of the archaelogy of the region which will last for approximately 2 hours.

After wards we will head towards Urubamba going through different towns such as Coya, Lamay, Calca, and the river valley of Vilcanota. We will reach Urubamba around noon, and have lunch in a buffet restaurant.

Afterwards we will head towards Ollantaytambo where we will have a guided tour of the site. At about 4 p.m. we will continue to the town of Chincheros where we will visit, and then afterwards return to the city of Cusco arriving around 6 p.m.

We will leave you off at your hotel.
