Urubamba River Rafting

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

At 9:00h we pick you up from your hostel to drive to the Urubamba River in the Sacred Valley of the Incas (north of Cusco), where our guide will give us an introductory chat on safety and equipment for our trip running the Urubamba. We will raft for around 2 hours in Class II,III.IV+ and V rapids, depending of the season.

We could be on Rainy season and that is class IV, V and V+

Class III (We run it from May to December

IV to V+ (Dec to May). For the last one, which is the hardest,

we always take a safety kayak with us, so it means one extra guide for the safety of our clients.

After the picnic lunch we come back to Cusco, arriving at around 17:00hrs

The rainy season is a really good time to go rafting because the river gets faster and the waves and other hydraulics are larger. The rainy season lasts from December to April.

Professional English speaking guides, paramedics qualified for Class V rafting
Full Rafting equipment (helmet, life jacket, raincoat, paddle, wetsuit, Hyside Self Bailer Boats)
Private Round Trip Transportation.
