Inca Jungle Trail 3D/4N

After a nutritious breakfast we will start with the walk through rich vegetation, during which we will be able to observe the flora and fauna of the region such as birds, medical plants, fruits and coca and coffee fields. Along the way we will have the option to use the thermal baths of Santa Teresa. Here we will also have our lunch and dinner and stay for the night in a basic hostel.

After a delicious breakfast we will continue our walk at 08:00 a.m. During our journey we will observe the Oroya (cable car), which crosses the Vilcanota River (the holy river of the Incas). Here you will also see a great diversity of butterflies, parrots, little iguanas, birds and insects. Upon arrival at Hidroeléctrica we will continue with our walk for approximately 3 hours to finally reach Aguas Calientes. Here we will enjoy our dinner and stay over night in a comfortable hostel, where you have the option to enjoy the thermal baths of Aguas Calientes.

We will start our ascent at 05:10 a.m. and during the 1 hour and 20 minute walk we will enjoy a snack along the way to Machu Picchu. You also have the option to take a bus to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival at Machu Picchu we will visit the citadel and have an approximately two hour tour. Later you will have some free time to explore this place. Around mid-day we will return to Aguas Calientes to take a train to Ollantaytambo in the afternoon. There will be a bus waiting for us to bring us back to Cusco.
