1-Day Option: Floating Islands of Uros and Taquile

We begin this unique experience at 7:00 a.m. with pick-up from hotels located in central Puno. We then head to the port to board a comfortable boat destined for the majestic Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world.

Our first stop will be the famous Floating Islands of the Uros, a group of islands made of totora reeds, built and inhabited by the Uro community. For approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, we will learn about their traditional lifestyle, ancestral customs, and their admirable way of coexisting with nature.

After this enriching visit, we will continue our journey to the beautiful Island of Taquile, located 35 kilometers from the city of Puno. Taquile is known for its stunning Andean landscape, vibrant culture, and artisanal textiles recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. We will have the opportunity to share a traditional lunch with local residents and enjoy their music and stories of ancestral customs before returning to Puno to check into our selected hotel.

IMPORTANT: There is an option to take the tour on an exclusive catamaran, where we will enjoy typical dances and stunning views of Lake Titicaca.

Embark on a fascinating journey to the heart of Andean history and spirituality. This tour invites you to explore the legacy of ancestral lordships and the millennia-old cultures that flourished in the Peruvian highlands, connecting you with the origins of civilization.

We start with pick-up from your hotel to head to one of the region's most enigmatic places: the Interdimensional Portal of Aramu Muru. This mystical site, surrounded by natural rock formations, houses a monumental door carved into the rock with a central indentation, considered an ideal energy center for spiritual rituals and connection with nature.

Our next stop will be the Chullpas of Molloco, ancient funeral towers belonging to the noble Lupacas or Aymaras. These circular and square structures, used as a necropolis, are an impressive testament to the Andean worldview regarding life and death.

Continuing along our archaeological route, we will visit the Geoglyphs of Thunco, majestic formations carved into the earth that, according to research, served to protect crops during frost periods, reflecting the advanced agricultural knowledge of these cultures.

The day concludes in the charming village of Chucuito, where we will explore the Fertility Temple – Inca Uyo, a sacred site with multiple phallic representations attributed with mystical powers related to fertility. We will also visit the Main Square, the Renaissance-style Church of the Assumption, the Solar Clock, and other local attractions.

In Chucuito, we will have free time to enjoy lunch and leisurely stroll through its streets before returning to the city of Puno.

Prepare for an unforgettable experience that combines history, art, architecture, and nature on a unique route through the hidden treasures of the Puno highlands.

We start the tour at 8:00 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel in Puno to head to Lampa, known as “The Pink City” and also “The City of Seven Wonders.” Located just 80 km from Puno, this colonial gem stands out for its rich colonial architecture. We will visit the majestic Temple of Santiago Apóstol, which houses a life-size replica of Michelangelo's Pietà, as well as a delicate image of the Immaculate Virgin made of plaster.

The city also surprises us with its underground catacombs, ancient mansions made of carved sillar, and a room displaying works by the renowned painter Víctor Humareda Gallegos. Finally, we will visit the unique chinchilla breeding farm, a nod to the local fauna and traditions.

Next, we will head to Pucará, the birthplace of one of the most important pre-Inca cultures of the altiplano. Here, we will explore the Kalasaya pyramid, an archaeological complex that reveals the high level of architectural and hydraulic development achieved by this ancient civilization.

We will also visit the fascinating Pucará Lithic Museum, which exhibits sculptures, monoliths, and ceremonial objects. Among them, the emblematic Torito de Pucará stands out, a symbol of protection and prosperity in Andean culture.

To cap off this day, we will head to the imposing Tinajani Canyon, a breathtaking landscape located at nearly 4,000 meters above sea level. This canyon spans over 250 hectares and is formed by giant rock formations sculpted into stunning shapes by wind, water, and time. The ravines of Queñuacuyo, Patabamba, and Huhuarachi offer a natural spectacle ideal for connecting with the land and capturing impressive photographs.

After a day full of discoveries and awe, we will return to the city of Puno around 7:00 p.m.

Experience a magical adventure in one of the most enigmatic places in the Peruvian altiplano. Just 33 kilometers northwest of Puno lies the impressive archaeological complex of Sillustani, an ancient pre-Inca necropolis situated on a plateau surrounded by the mystical Umayo lagoon, whose tranquil waters reflect the grandeur of the past.

Sillustani is famous for its imposing chullpas, funeral towers that reach astonishing heights and were built with precision that still amazes modern archaeologists. These cylindrical structures, erected by the Kolla and Inka cultures, served as mausoleums for the most important members of Andean nobility. Each tower, with its perfectly fitted stone blocks, defies the laws of balance and time.

More than just an archaeological site, Sillustani is a portal to Andean spirituality and worldview. Its natural surroundings, dominated by the serene beauty of Umayo lagoon and the silence of the heights, create an ideal atmosphere for contemplation, photography, and connection with the ancestral legacy of Andean peoples. Return to Puno.
