On this tour we’ll visit the famous Misti volcano, considered one of the 10 most active volcanoes in the Andes. Our main goal is to reach the crater of the volcano, to closely observe their large impressive fumaroles, and there we will have the best views of the city of Arequipa and the surrounding valley.
Currently the volcano is constantly monitoring, so no need to worry.

Itinerary of Ascent to Misti Volcano South Route

Day 1: Arequipa-Chiguata-Misti

We will begin our adventure at 8:00am in the city of Arequipa. Our private transportation will take us on the tourist route of Chiguata for an hour approximately, we will walk slowly for 6 hours until we reach the base camp, we will have lunch at 4:00 pm and then we have to get some rest early.

Day 2: Visit of the crater- Arequipa

This day full of emotions will start at 2 in the morning, after breakfast we will climb the summit until we reach the crater of the volcano, we will observe its impressive fumarolic activity and we will start all our trip back to Arequipa arriving at 2pm.
