This program is a magical and adventurous one within the mysterious and enchanting jungle low.

You will enjoy a trek into the depths of the forest, through trails and bridges that have been specifically designed and prepared to give you the best opportunity to connect with characteristic wildlife in this area.

Itinerario

day 01 : puerto maldonado - monkey islands

The tour meets at the airport of Puerto Maldonado ‘Capital of Biodiversity of Peru’, where you will be toured around the city, visit the markets and depending on the time, enjoy lunch in the city or the hostel. You will then be transfered to the port where a boat will be waiting to take you to the hostel, (about an hour away down the Madre de Dios river).

After settling, you will embark on an excursion to Isla de los Monos (monkey islands) where we can observe a great variety of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as the Spider monkey, Martin, Little Lion, and Frailes. After this you will return to the lodge where we you will enjoy a delicious dinner and can partake in the evening activities.

day 02 : lake sandoval - lodging

After a delicious breakfast you will head out to Lake Sandoval for an 1 hour and 30 minute walk through the jungle where you can appreciate the diversity of flowers (orchids, platanillos etc.), and wildlife (giant otters, alligators , wild chickens, a variety of fish and piranha).

You can also take a refreshing swim without any danger, after which you’ll enjoy lunch back at the hostel where you will also dinner and spend the night.

day 03 : taricaya

After breakfast, you will travel to the specialist project of "taricaya" by boat (downstream for about an hour), where you can appreciate a wide variety of animals (turtle, collared peccary, ocelot, macaws goats, etc.). You'll then have a walk through the jungle where there will be ample opportunity to see more wild animals and plants.

During this tour you’ll enjoy lunch, and afterwards can walk along a suspension bridge about 100 meters long with a height of 60 meters. After this, you will return to the lodge where you will enjoy another delicious dinner and can once again take part in the optional evening activities.

day 04 : grand tour of lodging

After breakfast you get to explore the area surrounding the hostel, which boasts diverse vegetation and wildlife, after that you'll enjoy the delicious lunch and then return to the hostel for dinner. You get the afternoon off to do what you please and afterwads, you’ll spend the night in the hostel.

day 05 : collpa de loros - puerto maldonado

After an early breakfast, you’ll board the boat and head up river to "Collpa de Loros" where you can watch an enchanting sunrise, and will stay there for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to observe hundreds of parrots congregating in the early hours in the morning. You will then have breakfast and return to the city of Puerto Maldonado and tranfered back to Cusco.
