Uros Taquile - Tour Titicaca Like

The Uros Islands (3810 m / 12.497 feets) number around 20 and are located in the Bay of Puno. Three to ten Uro-Aymaras families live on each one. They roof their houses with totora reed carpets.

Taquile, is characterized by its friendly inhabitants, who maintain their customs and traditional clothing. They distinguish themselves by their detailed, fine, and colourful textiles with symmetrical decorations and symbols that reflect their way of life, customs, and Andean beliefs.

We will leave at 07:30 a.m. from the port. After a 30 minute journey we will arrive at the Uros Island. Here we will have a one hour guided tour. Then we will continue in the same boat to the Taquile Island. Upon arrival we will make a 1 hour ascent to visit the village, the handicraft center, the museum and have lunch in a local restaurant. We will descent on the other side of the island (530 steps) and then continue to the Taquile Island. Later we will return in the same boat to Puno and we will transfer you to the hotel.
