Machu Picchu Full Day

Machu Picchu lay hidden from the world for such a long time because its location is fairly remote and inaccessible. Machu Picchu is located high up on a mountainside.

The nearest town is Aguas Calientes which is located down in the valley beside the Vilcanota River.

Aguas Calientes is only a couple of kilometres away from Machu Picchu as the crow flies but it takes a bus about 20 minutes to climb the narrow, steep zigzagging dirt track that connects the two.

Tour Itinerary

You will be picked up in the morning and transferred to the train station, where you will board the train to Aguas Calientes, seeing spectacular scenic beauty along the way.

In 2 hours you will arrived to Aguas Calientes, in this small village you will board the bus to the incredible architectural site of Machu Picchu, where you will have a 2 hour tour with a Professional Guide, who will explain you more about the historical legacy and the importance of this place in time of the Incas. Later you will return to Aguas Calientes, where you will have time to have lunch and visit the town. In the afternoon you will return to Cusco by train.
