Sacred Valley
Description :
The Sacred Valley of the Incas was undoubtedly a key area of settlement to the Incas. Its agreeable climate and fertile plains make a rare and fruitful combination for the high Andes. It was also the route to the jungle and therefore an area with access to the fruits and plants of the tropical lowlands.
The Sacred Valley has an altitude of 2800 m and combines the charm of the beautiful scenery with archaeological sites of great importance.
Itinerary
You will be picked up from your hotel at 0840 hrs and taken by bus to the archaeological site of Pisac, located approximately 1 hour from Cusco. Here you will have a 2 hour guided tour, after which, you will be taken to the town of Urubamba passsing other traditional villages along the way, such as Coya, Lamay, Calca and other places of great scenic beauty.
You will arrive at Urubamba at noon and make a stop for lunch after which, you will continue towards the town of Ollantaytambo "living village", where you will have a guided tour of the archeological complex at approximately 16:00 hrs.
After this, you will go to the town of Chincheros where you will have a guided tour of this archaeological complex, and later return to Cusco arriving at 18:00 hrs.
