Trekking Arequipa

You will be picked up at your hotels at 03:30 a.m. and will take our touristic vehicle. Then you will head to the cross of the condor, where you can observe the depth of the canyon and the majestic flights of the condors. Later we will continue our journey to the village of Cabanoconde. Here we will have lunch and start our approximately 1,000 meter descent to the altitude of the river. We will make a detour to be able to appreciate some geysers. Then we will continue our walk and follow the route and cross the Colca River, till we reach the village Paclla, after an approximately 5 hour long walk. Later we will arrive at Llahuar, a place where we can enjoy the thermal baths and also fish trout for dinner. Here we will stay for the night.

After Breakfast we will continue our walk for approximately 2 hours. Along the way we will pass the villages Cosñirhua and Malata till we reach Sangalle. Here we can enjoy a refreshing bath, lunch, some free time in the afternoon, dinner and a recreative overnight stay.

At 02:00 a.m. in the early morning we will start our ascent to Cabanaconde, which takes approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival at Cabanaconde we will have breakfast and then take our touristic vehicle. Along the way to the wonderful village of Chivay we will take some breaks in the different villages and at the touristic attractions such as natural viewpoints (Choquetico and Antahuilque) above the village Chivay. There we will visit the thermal baths, have lunch and later return to the city of Arequipa. Here we will take a break with a view on the Andes, where we can observe the snowcapped mountains such as Hualca Hualca, Sabancaya and Ampato and at the same time the mountain range of the Chila. We will arrive in Arequipa at about 05:00 p.m.
